One of my favorite things about the Nintendo Switch is its inherent portability for gaming on the go. Of course, it’s always a nice option to be able to drag and drop it into the dock for instant access to an HDMI display coupled with the ability to charge. With that amount of flexibility it makes perfect sense that you’d want to have a couple of docks hooked up to whatever displays you want at all times. Unfortunately, at $90 bucks a pop that that flexibility doesn’t come without a price...

As any readers with a MacBook know, there’s always a constant struggle when it comes to getting all your devices sufficiently connected. Since there are only a limited number of USB C ports (particularly if you've got a non-Pro MacBook), most folks are resigned to either hot swap them out as needed or pick up a USC C hub, which can be pretty pricey- Particularly for a decent one...

We've spent quite literally years now wondering why Apple doesn't provide some kind of MFi controller bundle that'd actually make people interested in buying one, or some kind of "system seller" title to give people a real reason to grab an MFi controller. Well, it'd seem through the magic of Minecraft, Apple has finally done just that. Right now you can get the SteelSeries Nimbus MFi Controller and Minecraft: Apple TV Edition for $40 directly from Apple...

Well, it's that awkward time of the year where absolutely nothing is happening on the App Store. So, we're scrounging around for various deals while we wait for the ol' App Store to return to normal and give us something to write about. Anyway, over the holidays Radio Shack has had a few random door buster sales of the 32GB new Apple TV for $99, but they've been in-store only, and incredibly hard to track down because most Radio Shacks only seem to stock one or two units at a time, and their stock tracker seems super-delayed, so just because their site says it's in stock at a store doesn't mean anything- They could've been sold out for days...

eLearning has been shockingly popular for us on TouchArcade Deals, particularly the "pay what you want" bundles, as they let you pay as much (or as little) as you want. The only catch is you've got to beat the average to get everything which with the game design bundle we're promoting today is a little over eight bucks as of this writing. For that, you'll get hours and hours of content focused around designing games:

Screen Shot 2015-12-16 at 4.50.41 PM

Pay legit anything and you'll learn how to paint textures for games and some best practices for gamification to increase engagement. Beat that average mentioned above and you'll get another course on building 2D and 3D art for games as well as a course on putting it all together in Unity. We're talking hundreds of combined lectures, and Udemy will even give you a certificate for completion. Not bad for dropping less than 10 bucks, and 10% of all the proceeds are going to the Save the Children charity, sweetening the deal a little bit further.

Sound like something you'd want to spend your time on? Head over to TouchArcade Deals and check it out.

If you're the kind of person who is always losing your car keys and other similar small stuff, the various Bluetooth tracking tags that have been released over the years are a great solution to find your stuff. Using an app, you pair the tags with your phone, then can make those tags beep when you use the app again as long as you're within 75' of your stuff. Courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we're offering the 2nd generation iHere 3.0 Bluetooth tracking device for $22.99. Unlike the other Bluetooth trackers out there which are totally sealed single use devices, this one is rechargeable, with each charge lasting several weeks.

The companion app is available for iOS and Android. If you're always frustrated you can't find your keys, these things are a great solution... Provided you also know where your phone is, but that's what Find My iPhone is for. Although, you need a computer for that, but if you've lost your keys, your phone, and your computer, you've probably got bigger problems. Anyway, if this sounds like something you need in your life, head over to TouchArcade Deals and check it out.

Do you have a giant battery pack yet for your various USB powered devices? If not, you should fix that problem, as there has been more times than I can count that I was super happy to be packing the ability to charge my phone while I was out and about. Well, if you're interested in solving that particular issue, courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we're offering the Limefuel Blast 20000mAh Battery Pack for $36.99. I've got a 20,000 mAh battery pack myself, and it's sort of ridiculous just how much stuff you can recharge off of it.

What's neat about this particular battery is that it's got four USB ports on it, whereas most battery packs these days have one, or maybe two. So, you could realistically charge an entire family's worth of power hungry mobile devices off just one battery, all at the same time. Or, if you're a developer rolling out with a ton of demo devices, this could simplify your mobile charging solution. If you're interested, head over to TouchArcade Deals and take a look.

I feel like as iOS devices have gotten better, the constant annoyance that is dealing with media in iTunes has stayed the same. iTunes works great if you're up for doing everything inside of the specific iTunes workflow, but if you want to do things as simple as keep your audio files in formats that iTunes doesn't like, you're SOL when it comes to syncing. Well, courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we're offering a nifty Mac app called WALTR which solves that problem.

You plug your iPhone or iPad in, load up WALTR, then you just drag any kind of media file on to it to add it to your device. Have some crazy .mkv video file, or something similar? WALTR handles all the appropriate conversions and transfers it to your device so it's playable inside of the native iOS media player apps. So, you get all the benefits of using the native apps on your device without the annoyance of needing to use iTunes to get there.

Anyway, if this sounds cool to you, check it out on TouchArcade Deals.

Every time we post one of these "Pay What You Want" deals, the response is remarkably positive, so, why stop a good thing? Courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we're highlighting a Pay What You Want for the iOS 9 Developer Bundle. If you've never done one of these before, here's how they work: You can pay whatever you want for this e-learning bundle which covers basically every facet of iOS 9 development, if you beat the average (currently a few cents over $12) you get everything in the bundle. Otherwise, you just get the stuff that's currently been unlocked.

Screen Shot 2015-12-08 at 10.01.43 AM

To sweeten the deal, 10% of the proceeds are going to Project HOPE which promotes worldwide wellness through offering medicines and supplies as well as disaster response, wellness promotion, and other super positive stuff. So, help out a rad charity, learn how to build all sorts of iOS 9 stuff, and even get 100 different templates to base your demo projects off of. It's a pretty solid bundle, so head on over to TouchArcade Deals and check it out.

If you haven't heard of Loot Crate yet, here's the gist: You subscribe to a service that sends you monthly packages in the mail loaded to the brim with all sorts of crazy swag. They usually include some kind of T-shirt (or other wearable) and a bunch of other stuff including figurines, posters, and similar. Well, courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, you can get 15% off a 3 month subscription to Loot Crate, bringing it down to a little over $16 per crate. Not bad, right? Here's an example of the kind of stuff a loot crate can contain:

It's a neat surprise every month, kind of like buying an advance birthday present for yourself... Except it comes every month (or three months if you spring for this deal). Each crate arrives between the 20th and the 28th of each month, so if you hurry, you should be able to get in on the December loot crate.

By now you've probably got every iPhone accessory known to man, but do you have a neat charging cable that is rigid enough to coil up and hold your iPhone like a mechanical snake dock? Didn't think so. (Or, if you do, that's pretty cool.) Well, courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, you can get the 'Bobine' Flexible iPhone Charging Dock for $24.50 shipped. It's MFi certified, and can get your iPhone at eye height next to your laptop so you don't have to be inconvenienced by looking down to check your phone alerts. The future, we're living in it. Here's what I'm talking about:

Oh, and if you haven't already, be sure to enter our giveaway for a free new Apple TV. It just takes a single click. We're giving away the 64GB version too, which will be more than enough room to just go hog wild installing stuff from the Apple TV App Store.

Our Patreon is doing great, TouchArcade Deals is super popular, and today we're adding a third option for people to support the site while getting something (in this case, cold hard cash) in return: TouchArcade Device Buybacks! We've partnered up with the guys at MyPhones Unlimited, who much like us are a super small and scrappy outfit, to give people an easy way to turn that stack of old iPads and iPhones into money. Since it's a tiny operation, the overall overhead is way lower, which translates directly into the amount given for each device. If you compare our buyback rates with the other guys you should see us offering more (sometimes just a few dollars, sometimes way more) than the bigger device buyback web sites.

Here's how it works, if you've never done one of these before: You go through our site, and select whatever it is you want to get rid of. You'll get a quote for how much we'll buy it for, and you put in all your information. We'll send out a box with a prepaid shipping label so all you've got to do is put your device in it, tape it up, and ship it off. The dudes at MyPhones Unlimited typically receive devices in three days, they verify the condition, then mail you back a check which you'll similarly receive a few days later.

One thing that we like a lot about their service is their device condition grading makes a lot more sense and feels a ton more honest than the other guys who might offer you an impressive quote for a "mint" iPhone... But (much like selling collectable cards), unless you legit took a brand new iPhone from the box and sent it off, they're always going to find minor surface scratches or other regular wear and tear. It's at this point that your quote gets downgraded to "good" condition, and you can either deal with it or pay to have your phone shipped back. MyPhones Unlimited totally skips this whole racket by just considering all working phones in "good" condition, with plain-English descriptions of what constitutes "minor damage" and their other grades. (And if you've got questions beyond that, you can either shoot 'em an email or call them during business hours at (479) 530-9337.)

"Uses For Your Old iPad" by Pleated Jeans

We get a small cut of all the devices that get sent in, so it really seems like a win/win all around: You turn devices that are collecting dust into money with barely any effort, and in the process you support all the awesome things that we do here day to day at TouchArcade.

If you listen to us talk about development environments and game making on our podcast, Unity always comes up as the current king when it comes to ease of use, accessibility, and flexibility. Whether you're making a silly physics sandbox game or something big and blown out like Hearthstone, Unity is the game engine of choice for many developers. Courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we're offering a Unity 5 developer course bundle that comes packed with 278 lectures spread across 49 hours of content which will teach you everything you need to know to get started in Unity and enhance your existing skillset if you're already working in Unity.

Also, through using coupon code CYBERMONDAY25, you can get 25% off other eLearning courses we're offering. These kind of things have been really popular, and seem to always get positive feedback from people who do them, as you can learn some really cool things, at your own pace, for just a couple bucks.

It's Black Friday, the internet is overflowing with deals, and TouchArcade Deals is no exception. We've got 15% off basically everything, so if you've had your eye on any of the things we've posted about in the past but wanted to save a tiny bit more money, now is your chance. That brings that rad SNES-style controller down to $29.95, some Beats (by Dre, of course for $94.99, and, well, you get the idea.

Definitely swing by TouchArcade Deals today and give it a look. Remember, when you're buying stuff through this you're directly supporting TouchArcade, so it's all for a very good cause. Thanks everyone, and happy deal hunting!

Looking for something to do over the long, long Thanksgiving holiday weekend that's actually sort of productive? Via TouchArcade Deals, we're offering a supremely comprehensive pay what you want learn to code bundle that covers everything from programming Python, to learning Linux, and even how stuff like Git and AWS cloud computing works.

Screen Shot 2015-11-25 at 3.22.48 PM

We post a lot of these e-Learning bundles on game development, and they're all super popular, but this one is a little different in that you could use the technologies you learn about in this bundle to build the various extensive back-ends that a lot of network-intensive iOS games rely on. ...Or, you know, a million other things since these skills are so flexible. To get everything you need to beat the average, oh, and better yet, 10% of all proceeds are going directly to Project HOPE to promote wellness and save lives around the globe.

TouchArcade Deals: The SKEYE Hexa Drone for $45

November 23rd, 2015 12:30 PM EDT by Eli Hodapp in Deals, News

Yo dawg, I heard you like drone propellers, so we put drone propellers on your drone propellers with this six propeller drone courtesy of TouchArcade Deals. It's the SKEYE Hexa Drone available now for $45, and features two more sets of propellers over those old and busted quadracopters that everyone is all about. It's got a 164 foot range, and three different piloting modes that control how sensitive the remote controller is. New pilots can take it nice and easy, while seasoned veterans can do all sorts of crazy stuff.

Here's a video of someone flying it in some kind of blue jeans store, which I don't really recommend you do unless you enjoy being kicked out of blue jeans stores:

Anyway, on the subject of being kicked out of places, don't forget to sign up for our giveaway of one of those two wheeled hoverboard things. It's how Wiz Khalifa got kicked out of LAX.

Alright, so the iPad Pro is out and everyone is going wild for the Apple Pencil, but what if you like the idea of having a stylus for drawing but aren't so into the idea of buying a brand new iPad (and a $100 stylus) just for the privilege? Well, that's where today's deal, the Pencil by FiftyThree comes in. We're offering it on TouchArcade Deals for slightly cheaper than Amazon and other places, and when paired with the companion Paper [Free] app, you can do some real cool stuff. Here's the trailer from back then Pencil was first released:

I've got one, and while my artistic talents basically end at drawing mediocre dickbutts, it's still really fun to fiddle with. Paper is a cool app, and adding a stylus into the mix just takes it to a whole different level. Also, flipping it over and using the "eraser" on the other end feels weirdly futuristic.

But, hey, maybe you suck at drawing just as much as I do and want to build iOS stuff instead? That's cool too, as right now we're running a pay what you want iOS 9 bundle:

Screen Shot 2015-11-19 at 9.46.18 PM

It includes a silly amount of things for you to learn, complete with several app templates, and how to build things not only for the new Apple TV but also the Apple Watch. Barrier to entry on these courses is also super low, so even if you're a total beginner you can just hop right in.

We've got a lot of crazy stuff over on TouchArcade Deals, and today's deal is super cool if you're the kind of person who wished Guitar Hero came with a real tiny electric guitar. Well, the Jamstik wireless smart guitar sort of realizes that dream, in that it's a full-blown electric guitar that hooks up to your iOS device and then lets you play... Well, actual music. Check out how it works in this demo video:..

If you read TouchArcade daily and find yourself thinking how much you'd like to execute on some of the game ideas rolling around in your head but no idea where to get started, this e-learning bundle courtesy of TouchArcade Deals is worth tossing $20 bucks at. It'll teach you how to build 20 different iOS games, using all the Apple iOS developer tools and Apple's new Swift programming language. Here's the topics that are covered:..

We've posted about the Titan Cable before on TouchArcade Deals before and people totally dug it. If you've ever had a cable get eaten by your cat, frayed, or otherwise messed up, the Titan Cable is the answer to all of that. Today we're offering a really cool bundle that not only features a Titan Cable, but also the smaller Titan Loop cable. First off, check out the kind of crazy things you can put the Titan Cable through:..
